A leaked T-Mobile training document recently surfaced touting Unlicensed Mobile Access as part of the software included with the upcoming LG Optimus Android handset.
UMA , an extremely coveted service for many here in the US has been embraced by many of the European carriers. Having a phone capable of Unlicensed Mobile Access means that users can make calls via WIFI! This is a very desirable option for more then the ability to make calls without a carrier or without incurring voice or data usage with a carrier. This also means customers in WIFI available areas who can't acquire a signal through their mobile carriers can still make phone calls using their Unlicensed Mobile Access handset. If you are like me and don't get the optimal signal within your home this is a welcome addition to your next handset.
A leaked T-Mobile training document recently surfaced touting Unlicensed Mobile Access as part of the software included with the upcoming LG Optimus Android handset. A second document appears to suggest that the application would not only be available on the LG Optimus but on other upcoming T-Mobile handsets as well! This would greatly increase the allure of T-Mobile amongst mobile consumers. Hopefully the impending release of T-Mobile's new G2 Blaze will supply more information about UMA on T-Mobile. Thank you for visiting vecdroid.com. Peace, VEC.
